ICAP’s mission is to promote the appraisal profession and its image to the general public and to users of appraisal services. In an effort to support this mission, ICAP is committed to develop a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive appraisal industry in the State of Illinois.

ICAP recognizes the importance of inclusivity and the need to bring more voices together and thus striving to be more representative of the overall appraisal community. The ICAP Board of Directors is creating an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee.

This new committee will focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion within the Illinois Real Estate Appraisal industry and guarantee these values, including public trust and fairness, are ingrained in our practices as well as an organization.
The objective of this new committee is to create an inclusive community that promotes conversation, listening, introspection, learning, belonging, and fairness within not only the real estate appraisal community but also with all stakeholders of appraisal services.

ICAP’s new EDI Committee will set its own focus and agenda working together with a board of directors. More information will be released soon about this new and important initiative. ICAP’s new EDI Committee is looking for members. If you would like to be a part of this important initiative, please submit your name and contact information below.
