Scope and rules of this survey

The European Commission is analysing the creation of a Mobile App for the Clinical Patient Management System (CPMS) as a way to improve, complement and facilitate the use of the telemedicine platform provided to the ERNs.

This survey is aimed at collecting end-users’ feedback on the work done and the ideas brainstormed so far by the CPMS Mobile App workgroup.

Your support and collaboration is extremely appreciated, and necessary to develop a simple and useful application.

In answering the questions below, please note that:

- the CPMS Mobile App will complement the web-based system (the currently existing CPMS reachable via a browser), which will remain in place

- the expression "Time gain" refers to the amount of time potentially saved by end users of the CPMS through the Mobile App

- the expression "Ergonomic Gain" refers to the capacity of the Mobile App to facilitate the use of the CPMS

- the expression "Simplicity" refers to the user-friendliness of the CPMS Mobile Application

- as per the legal base to which the ERNs are bound, the CPMS Mobile App is targeted to Health Care Providers registered in the territory of the European Union

- the completion of the survey takes about 30 minutes

- participants will be informed of the outcome of the investigation

Thank you very much for your time and input.

Question Title

* 9. Plenty of commercial communication and instant messaging apps are available on the market. However, most of them are not compliant with the data security standards of the General Data Protection Regulation. Using non GDPR compliant communication tools for medical consultations exposes Health Care Providers to the risk of leaking patients' personal health data, and consequently to the possibility of receiving hefty fines.
Would you like the CPMS Mobile App to provide the option to conduct "quick and easy" GDPR compliant medical discussions via a secure instant messaging feature?

Question Title

* 10. Would you like to be able to share medical imaging and other medical documents during the secure "quick and easy" communications mentioned in Q9?

Would you like the "Expert List" feature to be available in the CPMS Mobile App?

Question Title

* 20. If the tool to create new panels is added to the CPMS Mobile App, would you prefer it to be based on a structured process (such as the Consultation Form pane of the web-based CPMS shown in the image above), or would you prefer to only have at disposal a text field in which to freely add the patient's information? In answering this, please keep in mind that, if the Mobile App and the web-based CPMS are integrated and interoperable (see Q30), structured patient information could still be added to the Consultation Form via the web-based CPMS.
