ACCE Life Member Award
This pinnacle award is bestowed by ACCE on those who retire after stellar careers in chamber leadership. The present “Life Member” name recognizes both the lifetime of success in the chamber profession as well as the member-for-life status granted to each honoree.
Who is Eligible for Award:
- All CEOs retired from the chamber profession with 12 or more years of service may be nominated for Life Member consideration.
- Nominations will be considered for up to 5 years from date of retirement from the profession.
- Nominees' last, or longest tenure of employment, must be a member in good standing with ACCE.
- Nominees must be retired prior to February 1st of the year they are nominated.
Who Selects the Award:
A Life Member Awards Task Force, comprised of past chairpersons of the ACCE Board still employed in the industry, will be invited to participate in the process and selection of the potential awardee(s). This award may or may not be presented at the discretion of the Life Member Awards Task Force.
Minimum Requirements for Consideration for Award:
The nomination materials should include a cover letter outlining the following and responses to the industry leadership survey below:
- Example of measurable outcomes indicating the operations of a successful chamber of commerce
- Examples of mentorship within the profession
- Timeline of successful leadership positions within the industry
- Complete the industry leadership/engagement survey below
