UNB Study of Student Work Interests

The University of New Brunswick is pleased to invite you to participate in a research project designed for New Brunswick students just like you who are participating in the PowerPlay Young Entrepreneurs Program. The project is titled “UNB Study of Student Work Interests”. It is supervised by Dr. Jeff McNally, a business professor and researcher at the University of New Brunswick.

We are expecting to collect information from about 250 students in the NB school system for this study. The purpose of the study is to gather information about the impact of different kinds of education on your work interests now and into the future. Because we want to study the outcomes of a few different types of education at several different grade levels, you do not have to be in any specific class to participate. All students are welcome.

Participation in this research is voluntary, meaning that you are free to participate or not to participate. If you choose to participate then you are free to stop at any time, without any kind of penalty to you.

Participation is also easy – you can start right away with the survey that follows this information. It should take you about 15-20 minutes to finish the survey. Your answers will help us identify best practices in education in the NB school system.

If you have questions about this study you may ask your teacher to send them to Dr. McNally. He can be reached by email at  jeff.mcnally@unb.ca.

Please read the rest of this message carefully, as it provides you with important information about your participation in this study.
