IT’S TIME TO SET FCNL PRIORITIES FOR THE UPCOMING
119 TH UNITED STATES CONGRESS FOR 2024-2025
Input to Friends Committee for National Legislation (FCNL) is due from our
Friends Meeting by April 15, 2024 on our legislative priorities for FCNL lobbying
for the upcoming 119 th Congress. Your individual ranked priority inputs are
requested; please note them on the back page of this form and submit your
completed form no later than Sunday, February 25, 2024.
The Peace and Social Justice Committee will collect all submissions and seek to identify the Sense of the Meeting submissions, and will present a draft statement of legislative priorities to the March Meeting for Business. Upon approval of Business Meeting, Peace and Justice Committee will submit our ranked legislative priorities to the Policy/Priorities Committee of FCNL, which in turn will combine our Meeting’s submissions with all other Friends’ meetings submissions to seek a collective sense of priorities from Friends across the USA.
In November 2024, following the national elections, the FCNL General Committee at its Annual Meeting will seek and adopt a set of legislative priorities to guide the staff of FCNL in its lobbying programs for the new 119th Congress that will convene in January 2025 for the years 2025 thru 2026.
