This year we will honour immigrants working to build a Canada where every immigrant succeeds with a focus on those working in the following categories: Women in Leadership, LGBTQ Initiatives, Literacy & Access to Information, Youth, Community and Civic Engagement, Outstanding Entrepreneurs.

Literacy & Access to Information: Individuals or groups working to make sure newcomers to Canada have access to the wealth of information and services available to help them transition successfully to a new life in Canada, and providing the skills and tools they need to fully understand that information

LGBTQ Initiatives: Individuals or groups working to ensure that all newcomers feel safe, welcome and accepted in Canada.

Community and Civic Engagement: Immigrants working to give voice to all Canadians and to help newcomers fully participate and engage with their new communities.

Youth: Individuals or groups working to ensure immigrant youth have the tools and the confidence they need to become the great leaders or tomorrow. May also be a youth.

Entrepreneurship: Immigrants who have brought their passion and talents to Canada and created their own businesses to fuel our economy and provide needed goods and services.
