Annual Awards Selection

The Village of Solomon has been growing exponentially with funding avenues, programs, services, employees and partners as the tribe continues to serve the tribal community as best as they can utilizing the Local economic development plan priorities and under direction from he Council, implementing services to improve and support the health and well being of all members.
VOS is proud to oversee members as jurisdiction is at the residence of each member, giving flexibility to serve as funding restrictions allow. The elected Traditional council and staff collectively work to protect, serve, support and advocate for each member with the resources they acquire.
With special recognition on the closing of the CARES/ARPA US Treasury funds directed to VOS; the special consideration the Council and staff were able to provide special services and support to households, with an overwhelming amount of funding; $1,036,788.19 in service to VOS families. Not including all of the other funds from US Treasury ($2M+) that were appropriately managed and verified through special audits each year. AND, not including the supplemental grant awards to leverage additional program funds to serve you and yours.
With all of this; VOS would like to open up a few awards to reward exemplary service and commitment from those that have served the tribal community; the Traditional Council and VOS Staff.
These awards are similarly developed from Kawerak, Inc’s awards; The Leadership Award, Employee of the Year, and VOS Service Award. Explanations of each award followed by VOS Traditional Council members are below:
