San Mateo County's Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Office of Diversity and Equity (BHRS ODE) storytelling program empowers community members to share their stories of recovery and wellness to heal and to address issues within their communities. Participants engage in workshops that help them create and share their stories in different forms. Beginning with a framing question, facilitators support participants to share their stories as Photovoices.
These upcoming Photovoice sessions will be devoted to celebration August's National Wellness Month which encourages individuals to prioritize self-care, stress management, and healthy habits. For this reason, this Photovoice series will be focused on sharing how you foster wellness for your behavioral health.
