2018 BYOV Application
This application is for performing companies that want to mount a Bring Your Own Venue (BYOV) production.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Applications will be accepted up until March 2, 2018 OR until all spots are filled. (Please note, the Winnipeg Fringe limits the number of BYOV companies it accepts, and this limit is usually reached in January.)
The Winnipeg Fringe will begin to contact applicants after January 8, 2018 to advise you of the status of your application.
Please be aware that BYOVs come with substantial financial risk to the producing company and can involve a considerable amount of work. If you are a first-time applicant to the Winnipeg Fringe Festival, or if you are new to the BYOV process, we highly recommend that you contact us at performers@winnipegfringe.com about your BYOV proposal prior to applying.
The Winnipeg Fringe Festival will determine a quota for the number of BYOV performance slots in the festival. All BYOV venues must have at least two companies sharing a venue and a maximum of four (with the exception for site-specific BYOVs) .
Prospective BYOV applicants should be prepared to provide the festival with a production budget and a marketing plan in order to demonstrate the viability of their proposal.
Priority will be given to projects that are deemed truly site specific.
The Fringe reserves the right to decline any BYOV application based on a number of factors including but not limited to the type/location/safety of the proposed venue.
Once a BYOV application is accepted into the festival, payment of the BYOV application fee ($750.00 incl. GST) must be made within 7 days.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read all BYOV policies, rules and regulations carefully.

2. IF YOU APPLIED TO THE 2018 INDOOR PERFORMER LOTTERY SKIP TO STEP 4.
3. Create or update your Winnipeg Fringe account and submit the $25 application processing fee by clicking HERE.
4. Fill in this application form.
5. Read the application carefully and make sure your information is correct before sending it in.
6. Submit your application to the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival.
7. The manager/operator of your performance space will be required to complete a BYOV Venue Manager form as part of your BYOV application process. The Fringe will contact this individual on your behalf to have them complete this form.
You will be contacted about your application if we have any questions about your proposed project or venue.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Payment of the application fee ($750.00) must be made by credit card or cheque within seven days of being officially accepted into the festival. Please do NOT submit any credit card information with this form.
