Description: This session is for anyone who is brand new to E-rate and has never filed a form or feels like they are lost and need a refresher. We will start at the beginning, provide an overview of how E-rate works, and how to get set up as a user in the E-rate online filing portal.

2) Topic: E-rate's Pillars for Beginners - Eligible Entities, Eligible Services, E-rate Discount Percentages & Competitive Bidding

Description: For individuals who have a working knowledge of the basics and have filed forms in past years, this session will focus on the changes for the upcoming year. Category 2 changes will be highlighted as well as other updates since last year.

4) Topic: E-rate Form 470 Filing Demonstration in EPC Portal

Description: For individuals of all levels of experience, this session will demonstrate how to complete a Form 470 in the online filing system. I will highlight some suggested best practices as well as pitfalls to watch out for.

5) Topic: E-rate Competitive Bidding including Bid Evaluation

Time: Nov 16, 2020 10:00 AM Eastern Time – Noon Central Time (US and Canada)

Description: Once the Form 470 Request for Services is posted, Applicants are responsible for complying with the open and fair competitive bidding requirements of E-rate. After bids are received and the 28 day waiting period expires, Applicants must evaluate the bids and select the most cost-effective vendor and enter into a contract. This session will review the E-rate competitive bidding framework, bid evaluation and vendor selection. This session is designed for individuals with all experience levels.

6) Topic: E-rate Contracts - What You Need to Know

Time: Nov 23, 2020 10:00 AM Central Time – Noon Central Time (US and Canada)

Description: E-rate requires signed contracts for all Category 2 requests for funding and any multi-year Category 1 service arrangement, before the 471 funding application is submitted and before you will know whether funding is approved. Often an area of the program that may be mystifying and confusing, this session will break down the E-rate contract basic requirements and the timing of contract approvals and signatures. This session is designed for individuals with all experience levels.

7) Topic: Overview and Getting Ready to File Form 471

Description: Filing the Form 471 application does not take that much time but gathering the different components of information that you must include in the form can take some time.
