About the Manitoba Start Employer Awards
The 2019 Manitoba Start Employer Awards recognize Manitoba businesses who access our world-class talent and resources to strategically build a culture of diversity and inclusion within their organizations.
Nomination Process
The nomination process is open from March 1st - April 23rd, 2019. Completed nominations can be sent electronically to: awards@manitobastart.com. Nomination forms can be found under the award description. Award submissions must be received by April 23rd, 2019. A confirmation email will be sent upon receipt of your submission.

Selection Process
Nominations are reviewed by the Selection Committee comprised of Manitoba Start representatives, both Board and Management. Utilizing the nomination submission and Manitoba Start data, the Selection Committee will collectively choose the award recipients based on the organization’s ability to demonstrate their commitment to ensuring the success of internationally trained newcomers within their organization. Winning organizations will be notified one month prior to the event.

Award Recipient Recognition
Award recipients will be recognized at the Manitoba Start Employer Awards Luncheon on Thursday, May 16th, 2019 from 11:30-2:00 at The Metropolitan in Winnipeg. Award recipients will receive:
- 2 complimentary tickets to the Manitoba Start Employer Awards 2019 Luncheon
- Manitoba Start Employer Awards Certificate of Recognition (and trophy for Partner of the Year)
- Opportunity to deliver a 2 minute speech
- Manitoba Start publicity: highlighted on Manitoba Start website, social media and in the Manitoba Start Business Centre
- Exclusive use of the Manitoba Start Employer Awards 2019 logo
- Celebration of 2019 Manitoba Start Employer Awards recipients published post-event in the Winnipeg Free Press
