Introduction

The UK Agri-Tech Centre is conducting a survey to better understand nitrogen fertigation use within the UK Controlled Environment Horticulture sector, both as part of our role within the “Electric Nitrogen” project (funded by Innovate UK and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council), and in line with our focus on agri-tech solutions for net zero emissions.

The Electric Nitrogen consortium, led by Debye Ltd, are exploring a novel approach that will allow growers to produce their own environmentally friendly ‘zero carbon’ nitrogen fertiliser using a modular device installed on-site. It will also be possible to integrate the device with a renewable energy source, to make production completely sustainable.

As part of this project, we would like to ask you a few questions (~ 5-10 minutes) to understand your nitrogen fertiliser use and gather your thoughts on our on-site production concept.

Please be assured that all answers provided will be anonymised to ensure confidentiality. The data from this questionnaire will be summarised and key findings reported back to the sector via the UK Agri-Tech Centre's dissemination channels, as part of the knowledge exchange element of this project.
