The EGRACONS (European Grade Conversion System) project (see www.egracons.eu) is a Lifelong Learning Programme Erasmus project co-funded by the European Commission.
Its aim is to work out a conversion system based on ECTS grade conversion tables as recommended in the EU's ECTS Users’ guide, Annex 3. The project will also map grading practices in countries and individual institutions and develop an online, web based Egracons tool that will allow direct conversions of grades obtained abroad on the basis of institutional grading tables.
We would like to ask staff with authority on grade conversion and recognition at the departmental, faculty or institutional level to fill in the following questionnaire. Your answers will be used to draw up both institutional and country reports for the whole of Europe and work out the final specifications of the online Egracons tool for grading conversion.
The project believes the questionnaire will also serve as a tool for raising awareness of the grading issue within the institutions who reply.
