Exploratory Peer Leader Application for 2026 - 2027 positions

Thank you for applying to be a Peer Leader for the Exploratory Program for undeclared students at Salem State University. Centered in the Office of Student Success and the First Year Experience, the Exploratory Program helps students explore major/career opportunities, form friendships and a sense of community, find academic success, and ultimately declare a major. While most students in the program are first-year students, upper-class students who have not yet declared a major or are changing their major are also supported by the Peer Leaders.

Please note - we request that, if able, students submit a FAFSA so we can consider you for work-study funds (to provide extra hours). The pay rate is $15.50/hour.

Applications are due Friday March 6 at noon. You will be contacted, after you submit your application, to set up an individual interview which occurs March 8 - April 3.

THERE ARE THREE OPEN ENDED QUESTIONS AT THE END OF THIS APPLICATION. You may want to view those first, type your responses in a separate document, and then come back to complete the application so the form does not time-out.
