Background

The National Student Attendance, Engagement, and Success Center is excited to offer training and technical assistance to eligible districts and states around the implementation of Early Warning Systems. There are up to five 2 day visits that will be awarded for the 2016-17 school year.

Site visits will include one day focused on more formal training and one day focused on site visits and school-based support.  Visits will focus on follow-up to key implementation benchmarks including: creating and using an intervention resource map; staff understanding and awareness of EWS initiatives; holding EWI meetings (student intervention discussions); system to track and monitor interventions; planning and design of interventions/initiatives; and quarterly review of ABC data, interventions, and initiatives. Visits can include formal trainings, observations, and planning meetings with school staff, with the goal to deepen the level of implementation of EWS.
