Introduction

The ACCE Fellowship for Education & Talent Development is designed for chamber executives and senior staff engaged in improving education and talent development outcomes in their communities. Selected Fellows will engage in a 10-month education and talent development deep dive involving best practices, case studies of successes and challenges, interaction with national experts, and inclusion in a strong peer-to-peer network. Throughout, Fellows will develop and execute plans for specific education and talent development objectives.

The ideal applicant has a passion for improving education and talent development outcomes and is currently engaged in policy, programs, systems reform, and/or messaging and communications related to any area of the talent pipeline (early childhood education, K-12, postsecondary education, workforce development, etc.). The most successful Fellows come from chambers with an organizational commitment to education and talent development and have been in their positions for at least a year.

Expectations for participating:
  • Attend two in-person Fellowship sessions. Session 1 will take place October 14 & 15, 2020 and Session 2 will take place May 4 & 5, 2021. Meeting locations are TBD. ACCE will provide up to $500 per meeting to reimburse participants’ travel expenses in addition to covering the hotel costs and all meals during the meetings.
  • Participate in all monthly webinars and one peer call each month
  • Host one peer call during the Fellowship to share a successful practice or solicit feedback on a challenge
  • Submit a final summary of plans for future education and talent development efforts and key takeaways from the Fellowship program
If your application is accepted, we ask for a $1,000 refundable deposit to participate. Upon successful completion of the program, Fellows will be given the option to have the deposit returned to their chambers or donated to the ACCE Foundation. Additional optional in-person networking opportunities at the 2020 & 2021 ACCE Conventions and at the 2021 Education and Talent Development Division Annual Meeting will be available to Fellows.
