ENERGY STAR Certification Incentive Program Application

Program Summary: Incentives will be provided for ENERGY STAR certification of eligible public education facilities benchmarked in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager (ESPM).  This incentive will be used to support a licensed professional to examine the facility/facilities and to complete the ENERGY STAR certification application. Awards will be given on a first come first serve basis until funding is depleted.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must:
· Be a public education facility within Michigan (publicly funded K-12 school, vocational/technical school, community college, or university),
· Have an existing ESPM account eligible for ENERGY STAR certification,
· Share their ESPM account with the Michigan Energy Office,
· Not be eligible for any utility incentives supporting ENERGY STAR certification of the facility,
· Be willing to provide the following documentation to the Michigan Energy Office:
       o Copy of the official ENERGY STAR certification award letter or email,
       o Invoice for Energy Star certification costs dated October 1, 2018 or after,
       o Proof of payment for above invoice.
· Agree to prominently display the ENERGY STAR label in the facility once it is certified.
