The Enhanced Skills Course is a supportive, practical training designed to help you build confidence, deepen your knowledge, and take your first steps into working within the substance use and recovery sector.
It builds on the DACES Level 1 in Substance Misuse qualification, which you can complete either before or after this course - whichever suits you best.

To get the best learning experience, you’ll need access to a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and the ability to view training slides. Please note: mobile phones are not suitable for this course as they limit access to materials and interaction.
If you don’t have access to a laptop or computer, speak to the Pathway Co-ordinator. You may be able to access equipment at your local library or from a recovery space - get in touch with the Pathway Co-ordinator to learn more.
We use course feedback anonymously to help improve our training and to share positive outcomes. This may include use in social media posts, promotional materials, and reports for commissioners or funders. Your feedback will never identify you personally.
