Background

The purpose of this survey is to assist the ERC (Estonian Relief Committee) in formulating its position on the future of  Sydney Estonian House.

BACKGROUND
The Estonian Relief Committee (ERC) is a significant shareholder in the Estonian House Co-Operative Society Limited (EHCSL), which owns the Estonian House in Surry Hills, Sydney, and hence we have a legal obligation to consider the House and its ongoing maintenance.

At the Annual General Meeting of the ERC held in November, 2018, the Chairman of the Estonian House Co-Operative Society, Mr Madis Alvre, confirmed that a forum on the future of Sydney Estonian House will be held before the end of the first quarter of 2019 (end of March). The ERC then wrote to the Estonian House Co-Operative Society confirming that we would like to contribute to the success of this forum by preparing a submission.

In preparing our submission, we first wish to conduct a brief survey of our members, friends and associates. We would appreciate your responses to the following questions.

Please note that all respondent comments and details will be anonymous.
The results of the survey will be collated and analysed, the results of which will be made public – including publication on the ERC website.
