About TechSpark Academy
TechSpark Academy is a Lausanne based organisation (www.techsparkacademy.ch) which has been running summer and Easter camps and ateliers since August 2015.We were started as a collaborative between EPFL students and motivated parents wanting to confer 21st century digital skills to their children.
What we do & where we teach
We run CAMPS or AFTER SCHOOL COURSES that include Coding (Python & Swift), AI (new) Robotics, 3D Printing, and Digital Photography and Film courses in
- Lausanne: Champittet College in Pully; Brillantmont School in Lausanne
- Geneva: Florimont College in Petit Lancy, Geneva

- Lausanne: Champittet College in Pully; Brillantmont School in Lausanne
- Geneva: Florimont College in Petit Lancy, Geneva
- Zurich: Centre city, Talacher 5; Inter-Community School (ICS) in Zumikon; Lakeside School Küsnacht
- Zug & Lucern: The international School of Zurich and Luzern (ISZL)
- Zuoz Engadin: Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz (LAZ), near St Moritz
We use fun, interactive, hands-on learning in a 1:5 instructor to student ratio. Our modules are pre-prepared, and have been used in past courses. Our courses are for 12-18 year olds, plus one course for 8-12 years old (Scratch)
We also have after-school activities in Lausanne and Zurich (i.e. close to EPFL and ETZH)
Our remuneration for CAMPS
- CHF 940 for a 4-day camp or 5 day camp (both 28 hours) (plus travel fee if applicable)
- CHF 30 per hour general rate
Our remuneration for the Engadine residential summer camp
CHF 1'650 plus travel expenses as follows:
- You teach from 13h15-17h00 over 9 days (31.5 teaching hours), with a total working budget of 55 hours (coordination with boarding school)
- You get a free private room with own private bath

- Free breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Free access to sports facilities, tennis, biking etc.

Our remuneration for AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
- CHF 30 per 1 hour lesson plus travel time compensation
- Salary may be adapted (i.e. increased) depending on the distance between your Uni and the school.
Travel Fee Notice
For camps only: We reimburse a daily travel fee as may be required - depending on where you live and where the course is. This is agreed on a case by case basis, as your salary should cover normal public transport.
