HonorHealth CME Program Evaluation

Educational Objectives:
1) Define certain EMTALA terms including "emergency medical condition" and "stabilization".
2) Explain enforcement bodies requirements and the penalties and sanctions for non-compliance.
3) Identify treatment and services the on-call physician and hospital must provide in order to be in compliance with EMTALA.
4) Describe Medical Staff responsibilities for on-call physicians including Medical Staff Rules & Regulations.
5) Practice scenarios and resolutions to common on-call responses to requests for transfers.
