About the Elder Justice Roadmap and Virtual Gallery

In 2014, 750 stakeholders and subject matter experts from around the country created The Elder Justice Roadmap, a national strategic resource that identifies the elder justice field’s most urgent needs in addressing the social issue of elder abuse. Shortly after the Roadmap’s publication, an Elder Justice Roadmap Steering Committee was created to develop and manage strategic partnerships, promote awareness and action, and encourage new programs that respond to the Roadmap’s priorities.

The Elder Justice Roadmap Steering Committee now invites creative adults 18+ from around the country to create an art piece that represents the aging process with one or all of the following themes: equality and justice, respect, empowerment, connections, engagement, community, healing, hope and happiness. All entries will be displayed in a virtual gallery with links to National websites and will receive National recognition as determined appropriate.

Who May Enter: Creative adults 18+
Art pieces may include: graphic designs, short videos (under 3 minutes), photography, poems, essays, photos of art pieces the individual created, paintings, and drawings
Submission Deadline: June 1, 2019
