Call For Presentations

At the Georgia Association of Community Service Boards (GACSB), we aim to lead the development and operation of Georgia’s public safety net providers of mental health, substance use disorder, and intellectual/developmental disabilities, which are community-based and comprehensive in range; involve consumers and their families in their design and governance; and in which services are provided in a cost-effective manner in the least restrictive setting.

The focus of the 2022 GACSB Educational Exchange is on moving out of the pandemic to the new way of doing business. Presentations should entail positive information to create stronger core leadership and stress the importance of accountability and teamwork. Presentations outside the scope of the requested topics will be reviewed for consideration only at the discretion of the Executive Director.

This event, scheduled for November 6-8, 2022 at Legacy Lodge on Lanier Islands (Buford, GA), brings in multifaceted leadership from across the 22 member organizations which spans all 159 counties of Georgia, which include but are not limited to: Board Members, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CIOs, Medical Directors, Human Resource Directors, Licensed Clinicians, and state government representatives from a variety of state departments, divisions. Additionally, approximately 300 individuals will attend this event.

If you are interested in presenting, please submit a proposal by 5:00pm on July 15th, 2022.

We are interested in proposals that will:

  • Provide high-quality educational presentations.
  • Stimulate and provoke discussion and audience engagement.
  • Ensure the session is not perceived as an infomercial.
  • Better guide our member organizations on evidence-based practice leadership skills.
  • Benefit all levels of the workforce within community behavioral health settings.

Only submissions providing all requested details will be considered. Selected speakers will receive a formal invitation within approximately 2 weeks following the deadline.
