Location: ECOC 2019, The Merrion Room, Royal Dublin Showground

The fields of physics and engineering face many challenges in addressing equality, diversity and inclusion. While most people are aware that these challenges exist and some conscious efforts have been made, these fields continue to experience difficulty recruiting and retaining diverse talent. Much research has been done around these challenges and how to improve diverse representation and inclusion within STEM.

This workshop at ECOC 2019, on Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 11:00-13:00, will bring together inclusive leaders from the optics and photonics community to discuss best practices, available resources and evidence-based actions. If you are interested in learning how you can improve inclusion efforts, the deficit of diverse talent and the loss of potential innovation at your institution or company, this is the luncheon for you.

Event will include a complimentary lunch.
