Internet Society's Early Career Fellowship - Call for Reviewers

The Internet Society continues to work on building, promoting and defending an Internet that is for everyone, everywhere.  Central to the success of this work going forward is the next generation of Internet champions who will build a more wide-reaching and resilient Internet. The Internet Society's Early Career Fellowship has been specifically designed to empower a new, diverse generation of Internet leaders who will advocate for the open, globally connected, secure and trustworthy Internet.

Each of the fellowship cohorts comprises fifteen (15) fellows who will have the invaluable opportunity to increase their knowledge with eminent Internet scholars and develop their skills in advocacy, project management and more. What sets this fellowship apart is the individual project component – where each fellow brings an Internet related technology and/or policy solution to an existing or future challenge that will have lasting impact on growing and strengthening the Internet.

We have a critical opportunity to select the Fellows and their exciting projects.
We believe your experience in the field and in your community will help us do that.

YOUR ROLE AS A REVIEWER

The review process has 2 rounds to engage our community.

As a reviewer, we are asking for the following:
  • Round 1 (from mid-November to mid-December):
    • Review approximately 30 anonymised applications.
    • Score submissions between 1 and 5 stars.
      • We expect each application will take around 7 to 10 minutes for review.
Top rated applications will be pooled and moved to Round 2.
  • Round 2 (from mid-December to early January):
    • Read approximately 20 applications and view candidate videos (videos are no more than 3 minutes).
    • Score submissions between 1 and 5 stars.
      • We expect each application will take around 10 to 13 minutes for review.
We anticipate selected fellows will be notified in January.

We would be delighted if you would join us as a reviewer.

Should you be able to offer your help in this regard, please complete this form by 11 November.

Your support is highly appreciated.
