What is the KidsCan ECE programme objective?
To ensure that children under the age of 5, where food, clothing and head lice is a barrier to sustained participation at ECE, attend ECE, have sustained participation and therefore are school ready when they reach 5 years of age through the provision of the KidsCan ECE Programme.

What does the KidsCan ECE programme provide?
The following programmes are provided to all children aged 2 years + in KidsCan partnered ECE centres: 
1. Food programme - fresh food provided five days per week
2. Clothing programme - shoes, socks and raincoats
3. Health programme - head lice treatment

What is the selection criteria? (Subject to review)
Please note: The selection criteria does not give your ECE centre automatic acceptance but presents a guide for your knowledge. 
1. Holding a category equity index 1-4
2. Having a community-based authority
3. Assessment of educational review office (ERO) report
4. Targeted regional approach catchment area

How often are new ECE centres selected?
KidsCan started the ECE programme with 25 pilot ECE centres in October 2018. An additional 37 pre-selected ECE centres will be onboarded early 2020. KidsCan's goal is to source sustainable funding to reach and support 100 ECE centres by 2021.
