Objectives - Training Workshop

  1. Introduce and explore the “Evidence Ecosystem for Impact” Framework
  2. Explain the role of evidence in decision-making processes
  3. Demonstrate how to systematically search relevant databases for different types of evidence
  4. Construct an Evidence Brief for Policy by defining policy problems, outlining policy options or elements, and identifying key implementation considerations.
  5. Describe the different knowledge translation products that can be used to address priorities for policy action
  6. Describe the different knowledge uptake activities that can facilitate deliberation among key stakeholders
  7. Identify available resources and supports for evidence-informed decision-making
Objectives - Coaching and Mentoring:
  1. To consolidate and deepen participants’ learning from the Evidence-Informed Decision-Making Training Workshop through structured coaching and mentorship;
  2. To support participants in collaboratively developing a knowledge translation product—grounded in rigorous evidence synthesis and stakeholder engagement—that addresses a policy priority;
  3. To strengthen participants’ capacity to translate evidence into action by co-designing and delivering knowledge uptake activities tailored to real-world policy contexts.

8.Essay:

Each application must include a short essay explaining why you are interested in participating in the programme. The statement of interest must include how the programme will contribute to your personal and organisational development goals; how you will you use the training you receive after the programme to strengthen institutional capacity for evidence-informed decision making; and how your intended project contributes to strengthening the health system of your country. The essay must be a maximum of 500 words and will be used as part of the evaluation for selection process.
