Introduction / Purpose

With numerous autonomous and connected (AV/CV) vehicle pilot projects emerging across the state, DriveOhio and the Ohio Department of Transportation are taking the unprecedented step of developing statewide standards to ensure that relevant roadside infrastructure and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), regardless of manufacturer, can work together from city to city, region to region – even nationwide.
