Downtown Longfellow (the commercial area around on Lake St. and Minnehaha Ave) is home to thriving small businesses, community organizations, cultural institutions, and gathering spaces that make our neighborhood unique.
At the same time, the area faces ongoing challenges including litter, vacant storefronts, public safety concerns, and other issues that impact how people experience the district. These challenges affect residents, visitors, and businesses alike.
Many of these issues occur in the spaces between businesses, organizations, and public facilities.
In response, this summer several organizations have come together to implement a clean, safe, and active ambassador program that will include:
- 7 days a week of Clean and Safe Ambassadors
- Additional daily amenities in the Campo Plaza
- New marketing efforts for businesses under the Downtown Longfellow Brand
We want your input on shaping this effort to make sure it benefits the businesses to the maximum extent possible. Thank you for your time!
