Welcome to the Needs Assessment Survey for
Hate Crime Investigations Training

You have been selected as a participant for this short 16 question survey.  This survey will take you no more than 10 minutes to complete.  Your feedback and help by completing this survey will be used to shape the course and identify training needs for Hate Crime Investigations.

Hate crimes target individuals for characteristics they cannot change, such as race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, and disabilities.  The brutality of these crimes and victims’ sense of being violated for something they cannot change makes them one of the most dehumanizing crimes.  Hate crimes not only terrorize victims, but their group, spreading fear throughout the community.  Officers’ abilities to identify and investigate these crimes will not only restore stability to the communities they serve, but also assist victims in their recovery.

I thank you for your input and time in helping with the development of the content for this this course.
