Student Application

Dear Doctoral Students,

You have been invited to submit an application for consideration of funding from the NASPAA Conference Student Travel Fund for the 2026 NASPAA Global Conference. The doctoral students chosen (number dependent on available funds) will have their conference registration fee waived and will receive up to $500 toward their travel/lodging expenses.

If you are chosen, you will have an experience that provides you with long-term benefits as you pursue your career in public service. To be considered, you must complete this form by the August 14th deadline. Late applications will not be accepted. Successful applicants will be notified by August 21st.

NASPAA Conference Background Information:
Conference: The NASPAA Annual Conference is a grand gathering of public service educators, directors and deans from around the globe who come to teach and learn about public service and public service education. There will be over 100 panels and workshops that align with this year's theme and tracks. Our members are passionate about the role of education in advancing the quality of public service for future generations.

Theme: Public Service Without Borders: Reimagining Global Leadership, Inclusiveness, and Collaboration
This conference will explore how public service education can transcend national, institutional, and disciplinary boundaries to address regional and global challenges. It will focus on renewing international partnerships, advancing inclusiveness across contexts, improving collaborative teaching, and building resilient, inclusive institutions in a time of political and social uncertainty.

Chosen students will have the following tasks and opportunities:
  • Learn as much as you can from over 100 workshops, panels and sessions.
  • Network with public service education professors, directors and deans from all over the world.
  • Be our social media ambassadors and post about the conference on Twitter (X), Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Provide a short statement about your experience, which will be included in our monthly newsletter (sent to over 2,000 public service educators).
