The City of Greater Dandenong is committed to working with local residents, businesses and service providers to build and strengthen our community and ensure people of all abilities are welcome and feel included.
The draft Disability Action Plan 2016-23 aims to improve the lives of people with a disability through focusing on what enables people to participate in and belong to our community. The draft Disability Action Plan 2016-23 prioritises ‘health and wellbeing’, ‘community participation’, ‘physical and natural environment’ and ‘education, training and employment’.
The draft Disability Policy affirms Council’s commitment to the provision of accessible services and public spaces to ensure that everybody, regardless of ability, can participate in the social, economic and political life of the City.
