The Ministry of Education is strengthening The New Zealand Curriculum (NZC) and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa (TMoA) to keep New Zealand competitive in an increasingly digital world.

You are invited to respond to this questionnaire on the draft Digital Technologies and Hangarau Matihiko standards matrix and Level 2 and Level 3 achievement standards.

The majority of these achievement standards are dual-medium, being derived from both Digital Technologies (DT) within The New Zealand Curriculum and Hangarau Matihiko (HM) within Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.

The Hangarau Matihiko-unique standards are based on new Hangarau Matihiko content within Te Marautanga o Aotearoa. These standards are designed to be used as part of a full teaching and learning programme. They can be used in conjunction with Digital Technologies standards, Hangarau achievement standards or standards from other Learning Areas.

The feedback from this consultation will inform updated drafts of the Level 2 and 3 standards that will be trialled in Term 2, 2018.

The questionnaire should take approximately 30 minutes to complete. All responses will remain confidential. No individual, school, or organisation will be identified when the results are reported.

In order to complete the questionnaire, you will need to access:

· the draft matrix of standards - matrix

· the draft Level 2 digital technologies achievement standards - Level 2 standards

· the draft Level 3 digital technologies achievement standards - Level 3 standards

· each of the draft paerewa paetae for Level 2 and Level 3 - paerewa paetae

You can edit your answers at any time by clicking the ‘Prev’ button on each page to take you back to previous pages. However, you must complete the questionnaire in one session. When you click the ‘Finished’ button at the end of the questionnaire, you will not be able to return to your answers at a later time.

You will need to submit your completed questionnaire by 20 December 2017.
