1. Introduction

Digital Youth Work Project
This partnership between organisations in six European countries intends to support the development of digital youth work, including creativity, self-expression and social inclusion in the field of youth. New knowledge, methods and tools are constantly needed in order for youth work to support young people’s participation in society, active citizenship, critical thinking and social inclusion. We aim to build capacity of the sector to deliver high quality youth work in a digital age and raise the profile and recognition of digital youth work.
You can find out more about the project here: www.digitalyouthwork.eu
The project has three areas of work:

●     Digital Youth Work Good Practice Collection

●     Training Materials for Digital Youth Work

●     European Guidelines for Digital Youth Work

Partner countries: UK (Scotland), Ireland, Denmark, Austria, Germany, Finland

About this consultation
In developing the European Guidelines for Digital Youth Work, we are seeking views from the youth work sector and stakeholders on the ideas we will include in the guidelines.

We intend for the guidelines to speak to a range of audiences, including youth workers, managers, funders and policy makers. We aim to reflect needs from different countries and contexts across Europe, so please share this with any contacts you have in the youth field.

We are also carrying out some consultation with young people around the skills, knowledge and attitudes/values that youth workers need to engage with digital aspects of their lives.

The guidelines will follow on from and support the EC expert group on digitalisation and youth’s 2018 report: “Developing digital youth work: policy recommendations and training needs”
