La Dictée des Francophones - November 2022 |
In celebration of the National French Week (November 3-9) and of the Francophonie Summit in Djerba, Tunisia (November 19-20), the Francophone embassies in the United States, in partnership with the American Association of Teachers of French, invite you to take part in the "Dictée des Francophones".
This initiative celebrates the diversity of the French language throughout the Francophone world. To do this, the dictée relies on the "Dictionnaire des Francophones" - a collaborative project of the OIF which compiles a vast ensemble of terms from francophone countries - and particularly on Franco-American and Franco-Caribbean terms.
The "Dictée des Francophones" is available for three levels of French learners:
· Beginner Level: CEFR Level A2 (About 50 Words)
· Intermediate Level: CEFR Level B1 (About 85 Words)
· Advanced Level: CEFR Level B2 (About 150 Words)
Each dictée is read by a surprise French guest and is accompanied by a teacher workbook that can be used to do a complete unit on the dictée.
After registering, you will receive a message at the end of October providing access to a video recording of the dictée, teaching resources, and a diploma template for your students. You will be able to freely access these materials to organize a dictée with your students until November 24th.
You will also have until November 24th to share photos of your dictée in order to be entered in our book bundle raffle provided by our partners at Hachette FLE and Bayard & Milan USA.
