For eligibility, FULLY complete the following Course Application.

TARGET GROUP
Young lawyers/ paralegals/ professionals, advocates, community and church leaders, among others who want to share information with an audience interested in deepening their understanding of democracy in Jamaica.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
  1. To share basic information and deepen understanding of Jamaica’s emerging democracy focusing on citizen participation, good governance and constitution reform to achieve desired social and economic objectives in a new Jamaican Republic.
  2. Provide teaching tools and simplified approaches/materials to enable at least 50 people in the target group to effectively share basic information acquired with at least 2,000 people.

COURSE ACTIVITIES
* Pre/Post-Tests, PowerPoint Presentation, Q&A/Discussion, Group Reflection, Group Presentation, Tutorials, Reading Assignments

CITIZEN ENGAGEMENT POST-TRAINING
* It is expected that each Participant will engage at least 20 citizens during the period September to November 2024.

COURSE ASSESSMENT/ELIGIBILITY FOR CERTIFICATION
* Attendance (100%)
* Class Participation (Active)
* Post-Test Assessment
* Citizen Engagement Practice - Community/Group Presentation to at least 40 people
