The Deed Restriction documents for our Sharpstown homes were written 65 years ago. Laws change and the neighborhood has changed with time. The Sharpstown Civic Association with our HOA attorney's expertise has embarked on the extremely arduous task of updating them. We are looking at what needs to be changed to ensure that they can be upheld legally and need the feedback of the home owners. The questions in this survey will aid in making sure that the 12 member board of directors, Sharpstown homeowners, is thinking along the same lines you.
We will post a version of the current deed restrictions along with a 'red line' version that will show the proposed changes. When this is available, an email will be sent out. Each section of Sharpstown will be asked to vote and 51% of each section must vote YES to pass the amended version. Although for ease of enforcement we hope to have one version to use as a template, there are some sections that will have differences particular to them. These will be pointed out as this progresses.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your thoughts. We will use the July 25th SCA meeting at Bayland Park Community Center (7pm) (usually an off month) to discuss this topic. We will Facebook live the meeting if you are unable to attend.
