December 2016 Travel Training Introductory Workshop - Fitchburg |
Register for an Introduction to Travel Training - December 2016
Thanks to funding from MassDOT, the Kennedy Center will be offering another Introduction to Travel Training Workshop. This workshop will be held December 14-16, 2016 in Fitchburg. December 14 and 15 will be full days, and December 16 will be a half day.
Travel instruction is the professional activity of teaching seniors and people with disabilities the skills and information they need to ride fixed-route public transit independently and safely. Travel training is an intensive, one-on-one form of travel instruction. Anyone who currently offers travel instruction in Massachusetts, plans to begin offering travel instruction, or is looking to develop a travel instruction program may register for the workshop. While it is targeted to beginners, travel trainers of all levels of experience are welcome.
The workshop is free to attend, but participants are responsible for their own travel to the workshop and lodging, if applicable. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
If you are interested in attending, please enter your information below. Space is limited, and we will notify you when your registration has been confirmed.
