It will never be as vital as reading and writing.

It gives you an edge now, but in the future it will be vital.

Actually understanding data, including being able to read and write about data is an important and necessary skill.

Umm, central what? Guess I need to look that up.

I feel I know the term but I'm not sure how to use it.

I can calculate those measures and interpret them if necessary.

I utilize central tendency on an almost daily basis.

Sometimes I feel like an outlier when I avoid data stuff.

Ha! Trick question. Outliers don't provide any help in analysis. That's why we remove them.

I suppose it might be beneficial to look at them.

I have tried examining outliers. Probably shouldn't completely ignore them

Outliers have been a great source of insight, allowing me to dig deeper.

Why look into correlation when past experience is enough?

Could be often though I don't know how to test it.

Sometimes, perhaps, but it would be good to challenge it.

This is an assumption that should never be made.

Data visualization...sounds like mindfulness and meditation. I'm intrigued.

I'd really like to advance my "data viz" skills.

I have a firm understanding of best practices when it comes to data visualization.

Nothing can replace a solid gut feeling.

Prediction and probabilities can help, but they baffle me.

Value guru here. I'm able to teach others about measuring and maximizing value from a wide variety of business models and processes across different parts of the company.

I'm "ok" with data and information, as long as it is somewhat simple and very specific to my area of expertise.

I enjoy learning about and adding new sources of data to my data tool box.

Structured/unstructured, Big Data/Little Data, internal data/external data -- I'm comfortable and skilled with most.

I can munge and wrangle with the best of them...and live to teach others about it.

I have a physiological reaction. And not in a good way!

A little nervous but I can describe some of the important measures, basic charts, and analysis used in my job or personal life

I can do some basic descriptive and diagnostic analytics and feel comfortable talking about it.

Let's talk predictive, prescriptive and advanced analytics.

I can explain and train others on advanced analytic topics. AI/ML, NLP, NLG and more. Bring it on!
