2026 Inventory of Civic Education in Indiana Schools |
Introduction
As a follow-up to the 2020 Indiana Civic Education Task Force Report, this survey seeks to better understand how civic education has evolved across Indiana over the past several years. Responses will provide an updated snapshot of Hoosier educators' perspectives on civic education practices, policies, supports, and emerging statewide initiatives, helping inform the next phase of efforts to strengthen civic learning for all students.
By Friday, September 11, please take 10 minutes to complete the survey. In recognition of your time and expertise, those completing the survey will be entered into a drawing to receive a $50 Amazon gift card provided by the Indiana Bar Foundation.
All responses recorded in the survey will be held in confidence and used only in the aggregate. Identifiable information will not be shared.
Definition of terms used in this survey:
- Civics - The study of citizenship and government, usually having to do with the rights and duties of citizens.
- Civic Mission of Schools - Encouraging the development of civic skills that will prepare students to be competent and responsible and active citizens throughout their lives.
Thank you for all that you do to educate future generations of Hoosier and national leaders.
