Nomination Form

Safety is the most important part of the work you do. The Daily Journal of Commerce wants to recognize and tell your safety stories.

The DJC Hard Hat Safety Awards honors companies, organizations, construction projects and individuals for their continued, successful work keeping employees and the public safe. We’re looking for information on:
  • A time your safety plan averted an accident.
  • A particularly dangerous project where you implemented new safety measures.
  • Unique ways you’re making safety a primary part of your culture.
  • The use of new design techniques or products that made a project safer for workers or the eventual occupants.
  • Ways that an individual, company or organization has gone above and beyond in their efforts.

Safety can mean a lot of things so we want you to think outside the box with your nomination. How has the nominee played a role in the advancement of safety for the individuals that work on the project or the people that will rely upon and occupy the project once it's done.

We're looking for nominations that fit into these categories:

  • General Contractor
  • Subcontractor/Specialty Contractor
  • Engineering/Architecture Firm
  • Individual Safety Professional/Advocate
  • Project (an entire project where safety was paramount)
  • Project Owner (Developer or Public Agency)
  • Supplier
  • Service Provider
  • Non-Profit Organization Dedicated to Safety

Please take the time to answer as many of the questions below as you can. Considering the categories are diverse, an answer is only required on one of the questions but providing more information will give you a better chance of being honored.
