Call for Committee Members

SOPHE Professional Development Program
The SOPHE Professional Development Program consists of committees that represent and implement the Professional Development mission of the organization.

Continuing Education is defined by SOPHE as learning activities that serve to develop, maintain, or increase the knowledge, skills, performance, and relationships that a health educator needs to plan, implement, and evaluate health education interventions and communications.

To enhance the quality of professional practice, SOPHE works to:
Develop education offerings for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES®), Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES®), and Certified Public Health credential holders (CPH) to obtain and maintain certification.
Ensure high-quality continuing education activities for practitioners are offered at the national, regional, and state level.
Produce continuing education in multiple easy-to-access formats including live and self-directed learning.
