WHY SHOULD YOU PARTICIPATE IN THIS RESEARCH SURVEY?

The manner in which people organize and interact with technology must inevitably change.  In particular, ARC Advisory Group has observed that the convergence and overlap of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) in recent years has created organizational confusion around ownership and responsibility.

ARC Advisory Group are conducting research to identify best practices and  the importance of IT/OT organizational design criteria to support a manufacturing environment.   The objective of this short survey is to benchmarking the relative importance of organizational attributes as compared to the current IT /OT organizations one can evaluate the current organizational maturity and readiness for change.  

All qualified respondents will receive a detailed report of the survey results and all survey participants and the companies at which they work will remain confidential.
 
Definitions used in Survey

IT – represents the traditional information systems function which provides enterprise level solutions and services including telecom, business systems, hardware, networks and associated applications

OT- represents the traditional process control, instrumentation and real-time information systems typically deployed at the shop floor

3rd Party – represents external OEMs, systems integrators, hosting services or other external solutions providers

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?

Participants should be directly involved in the organizational planning process for Automation Engineering Services, IT Services or Manufacturing IT Business Units  Typical respondents should include CxO, IT Staff or Management, Automation Engineering Staff or Managment.
