Heritage Park South/Heritage Heights Neighborhood Workday |
The Community Enhancement Department of the City of Allen held a neighborhood meeting with Heritage Park South & Heritage Heights early May 2023. Please refer to CityofAllen.org/HeritageParkSouth on the City’s website for a detailed meeting summary.
Some of the feedback received for the workday revolved around helping fellow neighbors in need with minor home repairs and/or lawn maintenance. Work items will be limited to simple tasks like tree trimming, mowing, landscaping, patching a fence, etc. City Staff in conjunction with the neighborhood Workday Committee will consider any projects that can be completed within a few hours on a Saturday morning utilizing the City’s tool trailer and unskilled, volunteer labor.
You can nominate yourself or someone else in your neighborhood for a project using the form below. Projects will be chosen based on the residents’ need and availability of volunteers. Please note that recipients selected for the workday will NOT be responsible for supplying equipment, food, or drink to the volunteers working on their home. The City and neighborhood volunteers will provide all necessary supplies. We do encourage homeowners to participate in the project if they are able.
A time and date will be selected for the workday once the projects are evaluated by City Staff and the Greengate Workday Committee. Residents will be contacted directly to confirm participation and asked to sign a liability waiver prior to the workday.
