The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) has developed the draft Point of Care Testing Guide for Health and Aged Care Services to support health and aged care services undertaking point of care testing (PoCT) when pathologist oversight is not possible. The Guide aims to support the safe, effective and consistent use of PoCT through implementation of actions and practical implementation advice, including reflective questions, suggested strategies, resources and case studies.
The Commission welcomes feedback on any aspect of the draft Guide. Stakeholders are invited to answer any or all of the survey questions.

Following the consultation, the Commission will:
• analyse the feedback with the National Pathology Accreditation Advisory Council (NPAAC) and the Point of Care Testing Working Group (PoCTWG)
• finalise the Point of Care Testing Guide for Health and Aged Care Services for release in 2027.
