PYAP brings together twenty 2SLGBTQ+ youth from across Ontario to develop leadership skills and build community capacity for 2SLGBTQ+ programs and supports. Youth Ambassadors [YAs] will work together in pods. As part of their pod project they will develop a digital media project that helps meet the needs of 2SLGBTQ+ youth under the theme #BuildBetter (this could be a video series, podcasts, zine, etc ). In addition to the digital media project, YAs will also participate in online skill development sessions.

Please note that this is a volunteer position. However, all expenses associated with PYAP is covered by LGBT YouthLine, which includes project materials.

Previous experience is not necessary to become a Youth Ambassador!

To be a Youth Ambassador, you must:
• Be between the ages of 16-29;
• Identify as 2-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, Intersex, Gender Queer, Queer, Asexual, Questioning or another identity that falls within the 2SLGBTQ+ spectrum;
• Commit to at least 18 hours/month between September 2021 - March 2022;
• Commit to attending online skill development, meetings, and socials.

LGBT YouthLine recognizes the many barriers youth face in seeking opportunities for mentorship and growth. In light of this, we strive to provide supportive and inclusive skill-development to youth who are often marginalized and devalued.

We encourage applications from Indigenous youth, youth from African/Caribbean/Black communities, youth of colour, trans youth, single parents, refugees, immigrants, working class youth, and youth with disabilities.

**All Information gathered from this application will be used to improve leadership programming (specifically PYAP) and kept confidential.
