Prop U: Additional Information

Prop U will appear on the April 2022 Ballot for Webster Groves residents to decide whether or not to install a Local Use Tax. Per State Law, voters must make this decision by proposition election.

A use tax is a tax on the purchase of goods by Webster Groves residents from out-of-state vendors that do not collect the local sales tax. The use tax is applied to the same products that would be subject to the sales tax if the products were sold locally.
