Starting September 16th, all new e-bikes sold in New York City must be UL-2849 certified. The SAFE program offers special pricing for fire-safe UL-2849 certified e-bikes with two batteries.

ELIGIBILITY: This program is open to full-time or part-time delivery workers. You must trade in your non-certified e-bike or e-moped to access the special pricing.

This program provides optional financing. Community bank Spring Bank offers its GoGreen Cycle Loan at an affordable rate with no credit score requirement. You need not be a US citizen but must have a current passport or IDNYC and proof of address to access the loan. You must be able to show income of at least $20,000/year. You can start the loan process by visiting Spring Bank's website.

A loan for the Velotric and Aventon will cost  $3/day ($88/month) 

A loan for the Tern will cost $6/day ($180/month)

E-bike trade-ins will happen every other Wednesday throughout September and October at participating e-bike shops. Approved participants can pick up their bikes anytime between 12-5 pm. Bike shop addresses will be provided when you are approved.
