Introduction

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists' (ACOG) Immunization Champion Award recognizes members who have demonstrated exceptional progress in increasing immunization rates among pregnant women in their communities. ACOG will select up to three members to receive the 2019 Immunization Champion Award. Immunization Champions are considered leaders in maternal immunization and will be evaluated on their leadership, innovation, collaboration, and educational activities.

Each winner will receive a $1,500 honorarium and an award to display in their office, and will be highlighted in ACOG’s Immunization Newsletter, which is e-mailed to all ACOG members. Awardees will also be added to ACOG’s Immunization Champion Honor Roll. Nominations will be accepted until February 20, 2019 and the winners will be selected by April 1, 2019.

Award Criteria: The Immunization Champion Award is intended to recognize ob-gyns who are doing an exemplary job by going above and beyond to educate patients and other obstetric care providers as well as by increasing access to maternal immunizations in their practice, communities, and/or the national level.

Nominees must be practicing ACOG members. Members can nominate other members or themselves.
