What is CASP and how does the after school programme work?

What is  CASP?
Northcote Baptist Church (NBC) has been providing great programmes for the children and young people of the local community for many years now. CASP  'Community After School Programmes'   is an initiative that we started a couple of years ago to let the children and families of our community know that NBC Church is a place where everyone is welcome. Our aim is to provide high quality programmes for primary aged children in the areas of arts, craft and recreation.

What is this survey about?
We want to be able to offer a wide range of activities that reflect the interests of our community. We would like to ask you to help us with establishing what the mix of activities could look like, to provide a fresh, inclusive, relevant programme that you would like your children to be involved in and they want to be part of.

Does it matter if I am not part of the church?
No, the after school events are open to every child.  The activities are not necessarily run by Christian tutors, however, all teachers are required to respect our Christian beliefs, the church property, and to ensure that all classes are operated a respectful and compatible manner.

What can I expect next?
When the survey closes we will be looking at the results and reviewing our current programme.  Where possible we will adjusting it to best serve the needs of the community.  You can expect to see an update schedule of activities in the school newsletter for Term 3 2016. Disclaimer: This survey is intended to gauge potential interest in programmes, and is not a guarantee that any of the activities suggested will be provided.

Thank you so much for your feedback. If you require further information please ring the church office ph 480 7064 and ask for Janice Norton, or email office@nbc.org.nz
